Most of the pets and stuff could be easily gotten for free.Īnd that was exactly the problem Subeta's creator was having with it.

It was moreso a project of love, full of long stories describing the world and its inhabitants. Thing is, Valenth didn't primatily exist to sell something. Wait, what happened with Subeta's creator?.īasically, Subeta's creator hosted Valenth in exchange of getting some of the money it generates. Immediatly quit Subeta too and haven't looked back since. I really used to love Valenth, until it was one day shut down because its creator got screwed over by Subeta's creator. We vividly remember a lot of aspects about the site and despite searching and asking in multiple places we can't find the thing anywhere. There's another one we've been trying to find for years now which featured Pokemon fusions and was of the clicker genre. Also Vdex project which sadly it looks like it went under.

I don't think we were that into it although we did make an account, but after trying every username + password combination we could think of sadly we had to just make a new one. I think the only petsite we've lost our account to time though was Virtuadopt. We didn't actually sell any of our system in case we wanted to go back. We've been thinking of trying again but we're not sure. I think the only one we've kind of quit was Goatlings, since we had a very terrible experience on there. In our case fronters may no longer be interested or the one who was fronting the most for it might stop, but also just sometimes we get burnt out and tired. We're on a ton of petsites, so yeah we kind of loose interest leave them all the time. I still even have most of my original childhood pets, ugly number names and all lol. I can't say I avidly play every day like I did years and years ago, but a few times a year I'll have bouts of playing consistently for a couple of weeks. It was a childhood special interest that I still have some nostalgic emotional attachment to. Interestingly though I think I've just made peace with sticking with Neopets of all things until that ship finally sinks. I even made a new account and new pets some more time later having forgotten the login to my old one but just couldn't get back into it. These factors did really kill my interest in the site though and I just never felt motivated to pick it back up. I wasn't too upset about the names since I too had waited patiently for name purges before and I figured those who would actively care for their pets should get priority to the names. Grew bored of it eventually though and came back years later to see half my pets had placeholder names due to my inactivity, and some had their art changed/revamped (I liked the old art better D: ). Torreys? (I think that's what the anthro-ish fox guys were called?) and some various other pets. I also appreciated how much easier it felt to get the fancy colors. Loved the expressive pet art and colors compared to post-conversion Neopets, which I was a veteran of by that time. I was on Subeta for a decent amount of time at one point. I especially like helping the handful of newer players out who chose to stick around longer than a couple weeks, as it can be very hard to obtain certain adoptables if you weren't around at the time of their release (sometimes over 10 years ago). I hope though that by giving my old rares away from time to time, I can make others happy who do still actively play and enjoy the site on a much more frequent basis instead of just letting those gather dust on my seldom-active account. I was on this site a lot back in my younger years and once really enjoyed the community, but a large portion of the playerbase has drifted off to bigger and better things over the years, save the dedicated regulars who have been around a decade or more and an occasional newbie or two stumbling in. I still pop in for site events sometimes but I've taken to putting many of my critters in the pound, stop and swap (exchanges your adoptable for someone else's who puts theirs in the swap), putting them on the marketplace for far less than they're worth, or giving them away for the site's annual Christmas event. I also have somewhat left an older, lesser known clicker site called Click Critters (formerly PokePlushies). It might've been nice to sell them for gems on here had I known that was an option (I wasn't on FR yet at the time and as far as I knew from past sites inter-site trading was usually not allowed), but I'm ultimately more happy that I might have really brightened someone else's day or week. I have no clue if the pets I gave away were valuable or not. I was very minimally active there due to lack of things to do outside of the forums. I did similar on Chicken Smoothie a couple years back.
